Amendment: This show was not affiliated with the artist, but was a private showing of several minor works by Murakami and three other artists. It was unsanctioned and not endorsed by the artist.

The Fabrik Gallery, the same people behind the first Banksy show are following up with an exhibition of artwork by Takashi Murakami. The Japanese contemporary artist, known for his colorful drawings, figures, and commercial savvy, is much sought after by international collectors. His work has attracted the likes of Louis Vuitton, who commissioned Murakami to add his artwork to a series of their bags. The connoisseur Kanye West is also known to sing his praises.

The space for the exhibition has not yet been announced. The show will run from September 11th to the 30th.

Integrating Manga, Japan’s animation and comic book art into his pieces, Murakami is perceived as making high-art that is accessible to large audiences. His body of work includes pieces in nearly every medium. Check out this heavily branded – yet interesting Alice In Wonderland-type piece created for Louis Vuitton.
