D Face street art London
artwork by D*Face

Hong Kong’s Schoeni Gallery is teaming up with London’s Adapta Gallery to put on a show titled “Attention Spam.” Opening on November 14th, the exhibition features five artists, each with a background in street art. Their work is informed as much by their academic stints as it is by urban art techniques including stickers, stencils and spray paint. The artists taking part in the show are: Cyclops, D*Face, David Bray, Vesna Parchet, and Word To Mother.

The exhibition follows the recent trend towards highlighting urban art. The Adapta Gallery prefers the term “21st century contemporary art” to describe their work. Until very recently this type of art was a rarity in Hong Kong’s galleries.

For a sneak peek at the featured artists’ work, check out the Adapta Gallery website.
