This Friday the 23rd, Diesel is holding an in-store event to celebrate their Spring Summer 2010 denim collection. Titled ‘Sex Sells,” it features racy, charged photos by photographer Miko Lim.

Getting into the spirit of the campaign, Diesel will transform their main window on Queens Road Central into a ‘peep show’ to tantalize attendees (and unwitting passersby,) with their new denim line. Tunes for the night will be supplied by d.j. Miss Yellow.

Diesel’s invitation summarizes the event as: “Come hang, get boozed up, eat hot dogs and gawk at models!” Also on hand will be some sort of campaign-themed game with naughty Diesel toys as prizes…

Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin… Michael Wong? If you’ve been longing for a Rat-Pack inspired evening in Macau, this may be your best chance!

Friday, April 16th, Michael Wong will be performing live with a seventeen-piece big band at the Sands Theater in Macau. In addition to announced duets with singers Race Wong (2R), and Marsha Yuan, you can expect a number of special celebrity guests to take the stage over the course of the evening.

In true Vegas form, there will be a string of dancers and other performers adding to the spectacle of the show.

A Legend Reborn
This isn’t the first time that Michael Wong has helmed a band of this size. In 2007, he lead a series of concerts with a big band as well. You can watch a video of him rehearsing for that performance here.

Based on the previous show, I’d say Michael will be singing renditions of popular songs and big-band classics. The vast majority, if not all of the songs, will be in English.

Though most people think of Michael Wong as an actor, (and one who personifies the stereotypical ‘A.B.C.’ with a cocky attitude and broken Cantonese,) he’s put out several CDs and has a real passion for music.

In addition to the concert, there will be a special after-party to celebrate Michael Wong’s birthday!

The after-party will take place at The View on the 24th floor of The Sands casino and features several d.j.s as well as the Glamour Girls and Sands Angels dancers! If that’s not enough, the Alive Not Dead gang will be in strong attendance and you know how they party! Expect a celebrity-filled event with Michael Wong presiding.

D.J. Miss Yellow is headlining her own birthday bash at Zuma this Friday, April 2nd.

Her last birthday extravaganza, co-hosted by Alive Not Dead and Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy packed the entire club Cliq!

The Alive Not Dead / Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy gang is back again this year at Zuma and you can expect another major party. People who attended Alive Not Dead’s Halloween party or New Year’s Eve event know what kind of scene to expect (‘Night of Mayhem’ would be the Facebook description!)

The place to be in Macau after the recent Lady Gaga concert wasn’t one of the splashy new casinos, but Cubic. We’ve mentioned Cubic a few times before, here and here. One of their strengths is that they bring top-notch d.j.s to Macau. Continuing in that tradition, on Friday the 28th they will feature DJ Cash Money, a pioneer Hip Hop d.j. from the U.S.

Cash Money is known to Hong Kong clubbers from his sets at Dragon-i over the last few years. He makes a stop again at the legendary club on Wednesday, before heading over to Macau on Friday.

Black Night, a special fund-raiser for the ORBIS charity, will take place this Wednesday, June 24th. The angle for the event is somewhat unique. The Black Night is no ordinary event, but one that seeks to temporarily replicate the experience of blindness.

ORBIS seems like a worthy cause. On their website they point out that of the 45 million people around the world who are blind — 80 percent suffer needlessly. That’s a very strong and sad statistic.

The event takes place at Cliq. Experience something new and help prevent blindness in developing countries while you’re at it. “All net contributions will be donated to ORBIS”
