Top Hong Kong club Dragon-i celebrated their 8th anniversary on Saturday, November 27th. The club has been a hot spot since their opening night, hosting scores of international celebrities and well known performers over the years.

Saturday’s birthday festivities included a traditional lion dance as well as an appearance by Mini-Me (aka Verne Troyer of the Austin Powers films,) and a performance by Coolio. (more…)

Friday, November 19th, England’s multi-talented Boy 8-Bit is hitting Volar. Though not yet a household name, this guy has produced some incredible songs and remixes.

Boy 8-Bit is known not just for heavy beats, but also for his complex musical arrangements. He produces songs that are as melodic, as they are dance-floor friendly. Check out a few of his remixes! (more…)

Back in early March we talked about how Hong Kong’s lack of decent pizza has been holding up the city’s reputation. For pizza lovers, especially former New Yorkers, being able to get a ‘slice’ is an important lifestyle issue. Thankfully, it appears we’ve turned a corner.

Paisano’s, which has had a branch in Sai Kung for years, has finally opened shop on Lyndhurst Terrace in Central. The pizzeria serves a large variety of pies, pastas, subs and salads. The place is more like a N.Y. pizzeria in offering pizza by the slice. Since its opening, about a month ago, Paisano’s has been packed! (more…)

Famous for his turntable skills and versatile sets, Shortkut is one of the Bay Area innovators (along with Qbert and Apollo,) that turned turntablism on its head and put the spotlight on the West Coast d.j. scene. (more…)

Well known performer and one-time Haitian presidential hopeful, Wyclef Jean rocked the crowd at the Duty Free Shops 50th anniversary on Saturday night. Starting off playing guitar and singing, Wyclef got the crowd moving from the moment he stepped on stage.
