Linguistically the way Hong Kong people pronounce English words by adding a vowel to consonants, like you mention bus-EE is not an isolated case. You may know Spaniards are called Español, in which case they also add ‘Eh’ before the “S” to make it a vowel. For your interest.

Yes, I totally agree with you. City Super is cheaper for certain important things. (Which is ridiculous because their rent is way higher and they do less volume!) Wellcome is totally manipulating their prices and ripping off average working families. It’s especially despicable since they have raised their prices during the economic downturn! That’s the trouble with monopolies. PCCW is just as bad.
