British group Simian Mobile Disco, comprised of Jas Shaw and James Ford, will be playing a special DJ set in Macau’s Club Cubic on Saturday, June 15th.
Simian Mobile Disco actually began as a side-project, or off-shoot of their band, Simian, and later took on a life of its own. As Simian Mobile Disco, the two were able to explore producing club music, give DJ performances, and create remixes for other artists.
The group’s music contains gritty analogue elements in addition to dance beats. Their songs feature retro sounds, such as old synthesizers that are used in a modern way to form melodies and dancefloor-friendly crescendos.

A remix of Simian’s song, “Never Be Alone,” became the Electro anthem “We Are Your Friends”, and helped kick-start the career of the French duo JUSTICE.

Also in Macau’s City of Dreams complex on June 15th, is the first SPLASH pool party of the Summer featuring Kaskade as headlining DJ. You can be sure that Cubic will be packed and rocking that night!
