Hype Nasty is a consistently good night of what’s happening in international dance music. Organized by DJ Kid Fresh, the monthly party features DJs you’ll know if you’re into underground dance music, or will be hearing about soon.
Performing on March 15th is Thugli, a super duo of Pat Drastik and Tom Wrecks from Canada. Both are accomplished names in the scene, and Pat Drastik has wowed Hong Kong before in 2009.

“Thugli is a production/ dj duo partnership between longtime friends Tom Wrecks (Stylusts/ Itzsoweezee) and Drastik (Stylusts/ Eh! Team DJs) based in Toronto Canada. When the duo made the move into dance music, they always found themselves making tracks that incorporated double time, dirty south style patterns . So with this new project, Thugli, they wanted to really focus on that sound. The whole “Trap” movement has recently spawned from this dirty south sound along with EDM being thrown in the mix and is taking off at an alarming rate. The duo have slipped into the forefront of this movement and have yet to show any signs of slowing down. They have released all their tracks for free via soundcloud to much acclaim and have gained support from DJs and producers in the industry including A-TRAK, FLOSSTRADAMUS, DIPLO, BAAUER, TRAP-A-HOLICS, RL GRIME, RYAN HEMSWORTH and UZ. The two are off to great start and with a slew of remixes and an EP on the way, the future looks bright for the pair!”
