After taking part in the exceptional “Work In Progress” exhibition back in June, the artists known as Cyrcle are returning to Hong Kong for a solo show at the Above Second Gallery.

Their new exhibition, titled “Capture The Flag: Home Is Where Your Heart Is” is the third installment in a series that began with pieces from their previous Hong Kong group show.

Based in Los Angeles, the artists, David Emanuel Torres and David Morgen Leavitt have created an exhibition that draws on cowboy and Indian iconography, in a theme related to America.

The new works featured in “Capture The Flag” consist of hand-painted blocks, assembled in a way that gives the pieces movement and depth.

Instead of traditional flat works, the comic-strip like panels possess dimension that accentuates the sense of action depicted in the art.

In addition to the front view of the work, the three-dimensional quality of the blocks allows the viewer to have an impression from multiple perspectives.

The exhibition opens on October 24th, and runs until November 16th.
