Mark Ronson is a classic New York tastemaker who’s been rocking the city’s most elite parties for several decades. Before Hip Hop and Soul became fully accepted in fashion circles, he was a pioneer, playing classics like Barbara Mason’s “Another Man” along with the very best underground tracks of the moment. Evolving into a producer and putting out his own songs with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Bruno Mars, Ronson scored numerous hits, and racked up over a billion views on YouTube. If that isn’t enough, he has a brand new song out on the Suicide Squad soundtrack featuring Action Bronson!
Titled “Standing in the Rain,” and based on the 80’s RnB classic “The Rain” by Oran “Juice” Jones, the track also features Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.
A gifted song selector, as well as technically skillful, this won’t be another DJ staring straight into a laptop all night. Mark Ronson is knowledgeable in multiple genres so we’re not exactly sure what to expect, aside from a veteran DJ who knows how to turn the party up.
Advance tickets are available here, door tickets are $500 HKD. For more information, check out the event page.
