Local indie band NI.NE.MO is holding their album release concert this Friday featuring special guests Ultrapink, Mastamic, and Josie and the Uni Boys. The band has been gaining notoriety from their new single “Instagram Queen” that pokes fun at girls obsessed with taking ‘selfies’. Check out the video!
NI.NE.MO was founded in 2009 and plays a variety of genres, from Electro to Post-Rock. The four-member band consists of Tedman Lee on vocals, Andy Lau on bass, Josh Yeung on guitar and keyboards, and Fat Lung on drums.
The title of their debut album is “Afterparty”. You can check out more of their work on the Ni.Ne.Mo Facebook page.
The venue for NI.NE.MO’s release event is Hidden Agenda, one of the better places in Hong Kong to catch live music. Tucked away in industrial Kwun Tong, it books a constant stream of performances including everything from underground Rock from China to Finnish Electro Synth Funk!
Also performing at the concert is Mastamic, a versatile M.C. who we have mentioned many times before on Hong Kong Hustle. Josie and the Uni Boys, who recently performed at Hardpack’s final show, will also be playing a set.
Expect a full house for Friday’s concert with strong support from the local indie music scene.
Special note to bands: it’s party time – let’s hear some rocking music and less ballads!
